Giorgio Armani: “I dream of a less hectic world and more trees in Milan”
Giorgio Armani had an interview regarding the project ForestaMi.
How would you like it to be?
“More tailored to the human being. Less polluted, frenetic, aggressive and with a more conscious management of city spaces and our lives”.
Are you confident? Will it be possible to remedy the mistakes made?
“Yes, because I notice a real awareness on the part of the community. A lot of mistakes have been made, some macroscopic, but realizing that you have made a mistake and engaging in a turnaround is already a good start”.
Conscience: what does it mean for you today?
“Same as always. Because we should all, at all times, be aware of the moral value of our work. A little easy, however, to show awareness only today, in the extreme conditions we live in”.
Will the new generations or the “guilty” ones regain a conscience?
“In this sense, the work is circular. The generations defined as “guilty”, also pushed by the new ones, are committed to devising solutions. A long job: the young people will complete it, and then others. Nobody can achieve results alone”.
